Dr Helena Taylor
Dr Helena Taylor is a Laming Junior Research Fellow at The Queen’s College, Oxford. She is currently writing a monograph based on her doctoral thesis, which examined the reception of the life of the ancient Roman poet, Ovid, in seventeenth-century France. Her research analyses the processes of historical identification, comparison and translation entailed in the constructions and uses of this figure in a period marked by highly self-conscious confrontations between ancient and modern culture.
